Sarah joined the Global Support and Student Engagement (GSSE) team as director in January, 2019. She has held a variety of positions in international education in the southeast and Midwestern U.S. and is excited to make Erie her new home. Sarah holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Florida State, a M.Ed. from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from the University of NC at Greensboro. She feels extremely fortunate that her work involves designing opportunities to bring students together to across cultures and looks forward to rich conversations that engage, celebrate and educate across difference in a community of learners. Sarah’s passions include languages, music, trail running, learning the cello, and dance of all forms.
International Student Advisor
Marilee began her career at Gannon as Coordinator in the Global Support and Student Engagement office in July 2017. Since then, she has transitioned to International Student Advisor. Marilee holds a B.S. in Secondary Education Social Studies. Prior to working at Gannon, Marilee was a high school and middle school Social Studies teacher in Waldorf, Maryland and Erie, Pennsylvania teaching World Cultures, American History, and World Geography courses. Marilee’s passion for cultural diversity stems from her experience teaching and working with students from different cultures. In her spare time, Marilee enjoys traveling (she has been to eight different countries and hopes to grow that number) and spending time with her husband and one-year-old daughter, River.
Angel is a junior in the Information Systems program, from Honduras. He likes to play soccer and his favorite team is FC Barcelona. He likes to hang with friends and loves the warm weather. He can help you out with anything you need.
Srdjan was born in Serbia and raised in Germany. He is completing his Master's of Business Administration in August 2019. He was the captain of the Gannon Men's Soccer team as well.
